When we were approached by Barbican ISA to brand their Bond product, we had to ensure the designs not only looked great, but instilled a sense of trust and security for potential investors.

Our design teams got to work in creating a look and feel for the brand that was unified and meaningful to the identity of the Bond and the ISA it can be held through.

A simple, bold colour scheme was chosen to make the Bond stand out from competitors. Inspiration was taken from the Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan lines that serve the Barbican tube station. The purple-hues additionally helped reinforce the premium feel the client was looking for, while also being conceptually coherent with the location the Bond was named after.

For wider imagery, the architecture of financial district was a key inspiration, and helped reinforce and bring to life the bold colours used to convey the brand. A modernist typeface design was chosen to reflect the local architecture.

Illustrative elements were brought in to supplement the tube-inspired colour schemes, and to bring the website, brochures and other brand collateral to life. Illustrations and additional design touches were directly influenced by the London Underground tube map.

Together, all design elements, from imagery and colour scheme, to typefaces and UX work to give the Bond a strong, premium and trustworthy identity – ideal for attracting potential investors.
