Creating a digital-first identity for a vital support network

Love4Life is a vital friendship and dating network, but until recently, it had no website to call its own, only a few pages on its parent charity’s site. With a brief to deliver a full digital presence from scratch, Wonderful was appointed to design and build a website that not only showcased its services but positioned the network as a thriving community in its own right.

The goal: to bring together members, donors, and volunteers under one clear banner. Love4Life needed a digital home that was compelling, welcoming, and easy to navigate for its specific audiences.

From mission to membership: designing for community and connection

With no existing CMS or website to build on, we started from the ground up. Our THINK phase included:

• Deep discovery workshops with the Love4Life comms and fundraising teams.
• Competitor research across other support and dating networks.
• UX strategy rooted in accessibility, simplicity, and clear user journeys

We translated the organisation’s mission into a user-centred information architecture, with a sitemap and content structure designed around the real needs of members, donors, and volunteers. Wireframes focused on highlighting the membership benefits, promoting donation pathways, and integrating essential third-party systems.

The final site brings together the organisation’s mission and its community in one accessible, easy-to-use platform. With simple navigation, warm imagery, and a supportive tone of voice, it serves as both a practical hub and a storytelling tool for the network.

By creating a destination website that champions its members and reflects the community’s positive energy, Wonderful has laid the foundation for long-term growth, increased awareness, and greater digital engagement across the board.
