The challenge? Launch a bold, brand-building campaign across 11 cities, 10 countries, and 4 languages, and do it in a way that sparks both diner sign-ups and B2B growth.

Quandoo connects diners with the best restaurants around the world through a smart, always-personalised reservation system. With global expansion in full swing, they needed a campaign that would scale with their ambitions, and own visual real estate in some of the world’s busiest urban centres.

Wonderful was approached to develop and deliver a fully integrated outdoor campaign that would raise brand visibility, drive platform use, and onboard new restaurants.

2. Concept Development: Creative Direction with Flexibility

Through interactive workshops with stakeholders and local teams, Wonderful created three distinct creative campaign routes, each designed to stretch the Quandoo brand in a bold new direction. The chosen concept had to resonate globally, remain culturally relevant, and spark curiosity from people on the move.

3. Strategic Rollout: Testing Before Scaling

Before going global, we started local. A targeted test run in London used Transport for London advertising (including London Underground placements) to validate the creative approach.

The results were immediate:

  • 122% Ave YoY Growth
  • 184% YoY Growth in London

With those results in hand, we scaled up, rolling out across 11 cities, using formats like:

  • Tram Wraps
  • Billboard Dominations
  • Digital Animations
  • Station Takeovers
  • Tubes and Buses

All tailored in 4 languages, adapted for local context but unified by a consistent brand experience.

4. Lasting Results: Measurable Brand Uplift Across the Board

The campaign landed during the busiest six months of the restaurant calendar. And the impact was global:

  • Increased search volumes for Quandoo across multiple markets
  • Higher app downloads and booking volume
  • A sharp increase in restaurant partners joining the platform
  • Major brand collaborations, including with global players like Diageo

The ownable style we created wasn’t just effective, it became a creative foundation that Quandoo continues to evolve with Wonderful’s ongoing support.
